Clear Creek Crossing (Butte Valley, CA) 20 kW
For many reasons, Clear Creek Crossing is one of our more impressive systems to date. From the time the owner, Steven Karlstedt, took over the abandoned gas station at the crossing of Clark Road and Durham-Pentz, he has aimed to build as high-tech and conceptual fuel station as possible. Since beginning this fuel station project, a solar system was paramount.
By installing ninety-six 175 watt Shell Solar panels, on 6 pole mounted dual axis Wattsun Trackers by Array Technologies, we were able to take a 14.3 kilowatt fixed solar system to an amazing 20 kilowatt of energy for life. With the Butte Valleyís rolling hills and Table Mountain on the back drop, itís something to see when all of the solar arrays stand upright to capture the early morning and late evening sun, maximizing its solar potential. It was a lot of work but we are very proud of the way everything turned out. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out.
